Question: When pitching for a consultancy project, how do you find out what are the most serious issues the client is facing at the moment?
Answer: We recommend several methods of doing this, but one of the most simple is the Client Problem Detection System designed to identify the client’s most significant pain points
Key points
This is a prospecting tool to identify client pain points, and therefore to help consultancies focus on the most important issues a client is facing both at the prospecting stage but also throughout the project.
It is a way of asking clients about their pain points in three stages:
- what issues do they currently need to address?
- which of these issues is the most serious?
- which of these issues is furthest from being resolved?
Obviously, what we are looking for are issues which are of the utmost importance, and which a client has not the slightest clue how to address.
This tool can be bought separately here.
It also makes up part of our broader “Outsider Insider Client Intimacy” training e-package which comprises an e-booklet and nine of our new product / service development tools. To find out more, please click here.
